Zoom, I appreciate you having started this thread, I have a suggession - Can you please
- give a little back ground as to why we are starting this effort

- Also some one mentioned that Aman was even considering SELLING his house to support OUR cause.
- what we intend to accomplish by this effort

- what our target is.
If you add all this information in the initial post it will give direction and substance to this effort.

Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...

Got a CRIS Notification for EAD Card PRODUCTION dated Sept 2nd for my wife.
EAD receipt Dat: July 23rd
Card Production date: Sept 2nd
They say it will take 30days to get in the mail..
No idea whether it really takes 30 days or less so I can verify actual validity of the EAD card !
I don't know what worked..mailed TSC a letter to expediate.. Also emailed Local Senator and Congressman to expediate my spouse's EAD renewal.

I hate to say this since I'm charged to the India queue as well. However this will not get solved soon. I saw on CNBC this afternoon that there were something like 53K H1b visas for Indians last year, next was china with like 8 or 9K, then others(I had no idea it was that lop-sided). When H1b visas are going so disproportionately to one country, the only solution to solve the EB green card logjam is to either put country caps on H1b visa or lift it on EB green cards. This is not opinion, it is quite simply a fact. Absent that, we can consider the EB green card route closed for anyone from India.
There is little and declining sympathy for the pro H1b forces. I suspect we will see highly restrictive legislation pretty soon, and based on the current sentiment wouldn't bet against it passing either.

The Intent & Implicatins could easilty be challenged....I need not have to write how intent could be challenged, as fa as implications are concerned, country cap has given grief to certain section, while they are still living in the country...

There is no FIFO in current system. There NEVER WILL BE as long as so-called Chargeability areas ( country quotas) exist. Mark my words, we may at best get the quota extended to 10% (if STRIVE or something similar passes), but the quotas are here to stay. Guy from a so-called ROW country will always get his GC ahead of you.
Have you read about 'Alternate Charegeability'? Read about it in Mathew Oh's website. It means a guy/gal from India can marry a Sri Lankan or Pakistani and use his/her country as chargeability! A person is getting ahead of others by marrying outside your country! What's your brilliant idea to stop that. I can already see some guys posting 'IV should make banning marriage outside the chargeability their Top #1 agenda, as people use it to cut the line'

What are reasons .. as to why it cant be solved by lawsuit ?? Are u afraid that they might stop processing any I-485 applications for EB2-I until the lawsuit gets resolved ??

Mehul, After reading your post, I feel very bad for what you are going through and my heart goes out to you and your family. I know nothing of what I say is enough to help you but again, I still say it with the hope that things will turn around for you. GOD HAS HIS WAYS, AND HE IS THE ULTIMATE FORCE IN THIS WORLD. I have often wondered, the chase we chase. The reality is nothing else matters but HIM yet it is so difficult to accept this reality and we chase the materialistic things in him which at the end, every one of us writing here and reading is going to leave behind one day.
GOD IS KIND, HE WILL LOOK AFTER YOU. PRAY TO HIM, SINCERELY. I suggest you take all the treatments there is and Don't worry you will come out of this. He will protect you and many prayers come your way. I will definitely pray for you and your family.

Both of you can work together so you have a backing. And like someone earlier posts said, make sure your finances are strong and have a family backing in US.

I am a 2 July 2007 filer. Many SR's and calls later no FP.But I applied for EAD and AP renewal last week.I got the FP notice in mail today.
So I think that the renewal may trigger a FP notice.

In that case, I *guess* you can show yourself as "permanently self-employed" for your own company--should be easy if you have an LLC that does business in "same or similar" occupation (e.g., consulting/PM). Should also be easy to state the *projected" yearly income on EVL.
Problem with that argument once you own more than 5% of the company you will have file as investor. If your wife owns the company then you will have file under relative category. There were denials based on this.

When ever IV go and seek advise from Law firm or lobby firm they charge some money. No one is giving free advise in USA. We cannot run random campaign becasue people will not participate if no out come. We need to find out perfect time. Also we , and IV are common people who came from foriegn country and have no idea of whole US immigration system but law / lobby firm do.
If you and other sincere member contribute and participate activelly we may achive something. May be just giving few USD will not help. But there were so many anti coming to site and harming our agenda. since we have donor forum few anti come there. So if you are serious do contribute and get donor status. Participate in state chapter and work with IV and all of us. That will make date current for all.
