Mehul, After reading your post, I feel very bad for what you are going through and my heart goes out to you and your family. I know nothing of what I say is enough to help you but again, I still say it with the hope that things will turn around for you. GOD HAS HIS WAYS, AND HE IS THE ULTIMATE FORCE IN THIS WORLD. I have often wondered, the chase we chase. The reality is nothing else matters but HIM yet it is so difficult to accept this reality and we chase the materialistic things in him which at the end, every one of us writing here and reading is going to leave behind one day.
GOD IS KIND, HE WILL LOOK AFTER YOU. PRAY TO HIM, SINCERELY. I suggest you take all the treatments there is and Don't worry you will come out of this. He will protect you and many prayers come your way. I will definitely pray for you and your family.

Both of you can work together so you have a backing. And like someone earlier posts said, make sure your finances are strong and have a family backing in US.

The checks were submitted by my attorney and I am sure they might have cashed but I can not say for sure.

All 140K GCs are available on Oct 1. However, dates were not current in 2005 and 2006. I think that current dates do not depend on available GCs.
Looks like current dates depend on # submitted AOS's. USCIS is saying that on Jul 2 it has submitted AOS's that exhaust submitted AOS quota.

India is allocated only 10,000 visas in all categories(EB1+EB2+EB3). dates will never be current, given around 700K applicants were ready to file. out of the 700K I imagine atleast 35% will be from india, which translate to around 250K applicants from india who are ready to file I-485, india is given 10K , u can do the math and find out for yourself how much time it will take for the dates to be current.

GC Visa's are per country per year, where as H1's are not per country based, we indians used most H1's and stood in queue for GC's of course there is path so we stood, in fact it is one attraction they used to bring over here, to start with, per country GC visa limit is a poor thought.
GC quota should be better tied to H1 quota or raise the limit and god knows when did they put the numbers per country GC, before H1b program or after H1b program.
H1b program allowed hundred's of thousands to come in, in fact which they encouraged i can dare to say and GC visa count is not according to that and they let all these families to stay in limbo or wait forever is not a good sign.
Irony is majority of these folks are purposed to solve or improve all kinds of problems ranging from improving enterprise's response time from months to minutes or minutes to secs and other kinds improvements, who's families and them selves stuck in a decade long "legal immigration" battle of their life.

While it is true that both husband and wife working is a desirable goal, I think we must also consider senthil1's comment above. I personally know desi consulting companies that have placed people on B1 visa, altered resumes to overstate experiences etc. If the rednecks have brought a bad name to the whites, desi consulting companies surely have given Indian immigrants (specially in the SW sector) a bad name. As part of our current effort to voice our issues, we must also look at where we might have gone wrong.

guys can i say something instead of showing our true colors we all should join force and for one common reason that is getting our green cards done.I have been here for last 13 years and am still awaiting my green card as my eb2 application got denied as my employer showed loss in the year opf filling my petition and then i became lazy and didnt file in eb3 category but now finally i amd awaiting the pd so lets all get together and get greened.

I am EB3 with PD of Oct 2003. My attorney filed on June first. I will give update as soon as I get the recipet #.
Does any one knows what happened after you apply in Nebraska. Do they send your application to Service center or will be processes all the way through in Nebraska. I live in Texas and my attorney said we must file in Nebraska and can not send to Texas service center any more.

Right, my bad! I was not referring to the Employment Letter for GC job. I was referring to the Current Employment Letter which is not required as initial evidence. Should have clarified.

Even though right now FB2 is not far behind the gap will progressively increase due to post given below. Consider 2 glasses half full. If you pour 50% water from 1 glass to another 1 glass will be 75% full(EB) and other glass will be 25%full(FB).
Our intention is to findout if CIS interpretation is correct. If spouse can stay in the country with EAD and AP and if Primary gets GC first. It won't matter much becos, that EAD will not have any strings attached on same or similar etc. So we should be OK.

We are praying for you. Do not loose hope. God has taken you this far and nothing is impossible for HIM.
I have known quite a few people who have been cancer survivors, some have gone through treatment and in some cases without treatment, it just went away. Like I said, don't loose hope. Try out the options that a lot of the folks have suggested on this forum and continue praying.
